Ashton Broukes has been writing for years in several different genres, with no real desire to publish the darker novels brought to life by one undaunted creative muse. But something changed recently. A character in one of those stories offered up a dare.

 

"I dare you to let the readers read," it said. "Or are you too afraid?  Afraid you don't have what it takes? Afraid they won't like your work? Afraid to fail?"

 

Now only time will tell.
